Boston Globe article.

Today's Paper 04/05/2013 - The Boston Globe (http://www.bostonglobe.com/todayspaper/2013/04/05;jsessionid=0EC6739F99B7AB54363F5B8FE32492D0)

Haven't fished there in 10 years, right when they first started taking
it over. Any way to thin them out a little without relying on Great Whites (their natural predators) to do it?

there was an april fools joke in "wicked local" I thought was real for a second lol putting a bounty on seals. But seeing as they're still a federally protected animal, to answer your question, no not legally.

Didnt stop that guy couple years ago on hardings beach that put two in the chest and one in the head in a seal though

What makes up the majority of their diet? Seems to me, that the fish stocks have to be pretty healthy, to sustain this massive population?

It's a tough situation for you guys up there.

They eat just about anything that swims.... sand dabs, sand eels, herring, striped bass... you name it.

Estimates are they need to eat 50+/- lbs a day (per seal)

Between 80 and 100 harbor seals at a local spot y'day. Didn't see more than 10 at one time at the same spot last year. Maybe they are in because of the herring? No gray seals, yet.
