Any of you guys livelining scup? If so are using a 3-way rig on these or just leader and hook and letting him free swim? Maybe an egg sinker set up instead of the 3 way? Just curious what you guys are doing.

Liv2Fish 04-08-2013, 09:13 AM I use a swivel from braid to a foot of 60lb flouro with an egg to swivel with 6' of 60lb flouro to a circle Hook. I drill out each end of the egg a bit so it's not pounding the knot. It's two extra knots but I don't like the egg on the braid. Size of egg, leader and hook based on situation. Obviously, this is for drifting in the rips/holes from the boat... bassballer 04-08-2013, 09:29 AM this is what I was thinking. See alot of guys going with the 3way though. I use the egg set up for eels. Liv2Fish 04-08-2013, 09:34 AM The only time I three way (while fishing) is with eels in the ditch. I use 20lb mono from the three way to the sinker. I've had the sinker get caught up and break off while fighting fish. Lost the sinker but not the fish... vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
