Who knows, at this point the motive is pretty hard to grasp. I'd think the loner angle has merit but for a father? Doesn't make a lot of sense. Doesn't seem to be any radical connections either, the older brother was investigated by the FBI two years ago and came up clean...

These things once uncovered tend to be pretty simple, not a grand conspiracy as much as just a single thread.

Incredible job of rapid organization by law enforcement and the Feds. That was some crazy #^&#^&#^&#^&. Let's just hope that's all that was there.

Not really. Russia requested that they speak to him as someone suspected in "subversive activities". I get the idea that Putin's definition of subversive is anyone who opposes him. There was nothing in his background at that time, other than the fact that he was an ethnic Chechen, to warrant anything beyond a friendly chat and then telling Russia that he checked out. He apparently was a rising star in the boxing world.

However, I have to believe that the FBI knew it was him in those pictures a day or two before they released them. The probably knew who he was, but not where he was, and released the pictures to flush him.

I'd have to think that even with the technology today getting an ID would take some work. If he came up clean in 2011 why would he be on a short list?

Phil, the way I read it all, was that Mike was saying the homeowner who pulled the cover off was a darwin award candidate.
I think he may have been curious, brave and stupid all at once, but I am surprised that action did not get him killed looking in the boat with an armed and dangerous terrorist on the loose.

that's loose Spence with 2 o's

and you are right, why not a boat to hide in, just as good as a hole in the ground, they may not have found him if it had not been for the blood, but eventually he would be seen

Maybe he can sell it online.
How much did Bonny & Clyde's bullet-ridden car egt when sold at auction?

After he is questioned EXTENSIVELY under duress, report to the media that he did not survive his wounds, find a "John Doe" and bury the body out at sea, or in an undisclosed landfill, and keep the POS alive just long enough to drain his diseased-ridden brain of ALL intel he holds.

THEN..... put him to death in a fashion that fits his crimes.
First attach a grenade to each foot and remove them, then to each leg and remove them, then strap him to an electric chair and slowly bring up the charge until he begins to smoke like a BBQ brisket.

Then just throw what's left in a sewer or outhouse!

And this is my peaceful solution.......

Wait.....isn't it getting close to "Great White feeding time"?????

Not being charged as an enemy combatant, so no military trial, which means his sorry, worthless ass is going to cost the taxpayers millions in legal fees. Then there will be some worthless POS civil liberties union lawyer that will try to get all charges dropped, and sue for everything he can for his poor, misguided (wait for the brainwashing defense) hopeless "child" client.

Sorry, but when you have so much evidence, so many witnesses and so many charges against you, your trial should be bumped to the top of the list, and your sentence carried out just as quickly!

Unfortunately, once the White House removed the "enemy combatant" option, they pretty much said to the Boston and the nation "Screw you, and good luck with your problems."

I hope that they keep him alive (and not comfortable) and question him HOURLY until he cracks. Then let him have his one shot in court. Then let the public have their shots at him.....repeatedly....until he's dead!!!

The only thing that will change regarding "political correctness" will be that WE will be forced to change to adhere to the wet-dream policy of whatever whackjob president, politician or left wing nut-job decides they need in order to better their own agenda.

Think about how many times we have had "politcal correctness" shoved in our faces all due to ONE PERSON's complaint, and that one person's complaint was due to their not wanting to adhere to the prior rules/laws that were already in place?

The Squeaky wheels gets the grease, but threaten with a lawsuit and you can change a nation (run by spineless, worthless sh*t-stain lawyers and politicians)!!!
