I have fished for the blue trout about 30 years ago. there use to be a couple of ponds on the back side of Baxter State Park up toward the Patten entrance that reportedly had them. I never caught one. Spent many summers chasing brookies from the West Branch of the Penobscott to Chesonkook lake and everywhere in between. Actually fished the Alagash River when the only way there was an old tote road and a winch on your truck.
