Should be a good match-up for the struggling Bruins. Should hear plenty of the Thank-You-Kessel chants at The Garden.

Not banking on this good but under-acheiving Bruins to go far in these playoffs but if some team finds a way to knock off Pittsburgh and Rask can steal a series or two, you never know!

Predictions?

Bruins in 6 for this first series....

I think the growing rivalry with Toronto just with the B's need.
Toronto's a team that can get underneath your skin and hopefully pisses the Bruins off.
If they play with an edge they play well.
We saw that last night from Lucic and Marchand.

B'S started the 1st on fire last night and then were totally out bruined by the leafs for the remainder.

Last night was true "Heart-attack" hockey. best game I have watched in years. Rask was insanely good, Kreji is Mr. Clutch, Looch is a freight train and this team indeed has a good chance to go deep in these playoffs.

Highlight/Turning Point for me last night was the 5 on 3 penalty kill. Totonto never even got off a shot!

b's have more talent, leafs have more hustle and finish checks. b's look a little tired more often than not. hope they wake up for upcoming series.

They looked like they were just trying to hold on in the 3rd. Home ice for 1 more win and some rest.

Phaneuf is a cheap shot artist. Hopefully when we're up by 2 with 2 minutes in the third somebody tunes this #^&#^&#^&#^& up.

b's can't just show up and win... someone's has to tell the players. who's wearing seguins #19- doesn't look like him...and since when did lucic become phaneuff's checking dummy?

Frustrating night. They made Reimer look good with lots of missed empty nets. Still liking my prediction of B's in 6.

marchand makes a living within 5" of the net- he hasn't been within 10' in this series, or so it seems. whole team isn't crashing the net. they just look tired for the most part. gotta love the leafs crowd- thousands of people in the street cheering on thier team.

Agreed. And Sequin has been horrific in ths series, almost as if he wants his home team (LEAFS) to win. Not feeling a lot od positive feeling about tonights game. If they do advance, it would be nice if Mayor Mumbles would allow a crowd and a projected big screen outside the Garden for games. Not likely as he shot down the idea for the Cup game 7 and with all the recent stuff gone down in beantown...

I wasn't very optimistic about this one but Rask kept them in it while Reimer showed his true colors. I have a lot of family in Canada that are Toronto die hards so no matter what happens this one feels good. Place went insane at 4-3

At 4:1 I could not take it anymore and turned off the TV and went to bed. I told my wife...Hockey is over summer is here. (her response: thank God!)

Later that night, my son came home and checked in and asked if I saw the game. I told him I was disgusted at 4:1 and shut it off. He told me they won 5:4 in OT, I said BS. He showed me his cell phone with the results as I lie in bed.
WTF? I rolled over and told my wife...B's are back in it, summer is back on hold. I got up at 4 and watched the replay...unreal to come back down 3 with 10 to go and in a game 7 to boot, it is unheard of.

That must have been a one hell of a game to attend Goose, you had the full emotion swing.

Wow.

What have we learned? We have learned that the Bruins play exceptional desperation hockey. We have learned that Toronto is the ultimate choke artists. We have learned to never, ever leave a game or change the channel when it seems beyond feasiblility that our team can comeback ( I watched the whole thing!).

What can we expect? We can expect another tough series against a tough opponent with a far better goalie.

What can we hope for? We can hope that the B's have enough defensive depth to overcome the multitude of injuries. We can hope that Rask can match Lundquist save for save.

Gonna see some 1-0 and 2-1 games this next series.
