View Full Version : Taylor Swift now a Watch Hill resident!
Jim in CT 04-29-2013, 08:32 AM She paid $17 million in cash for a nice pad in Watch Hill. Maybe she wants to join in the fall run under Watch Hill light...
not a bad weekend place for a 20 year-old...

Dick Durand 04-29-2013, 10:02 AM I wish I could sing.
N.ShoreFisher 04-29-2013, 12:00 PM that girl is a freakin idiot. I can't stand her.
FishermanTim 04-29-2013, 12:17 PM Exactly what does this have to do with fishing, besides the possible increase on idiot fandom traffic wanting to see if she really is that pasty-white in real life?
bassballer 04-29-2013, 12:30 PM i'd hit it
:uhuh:
piemma 04-29-2013, 02:06 PM Who the #^&#^&#^&#^& cares. Just as long as she stays in that big house on the hill. Guy who once owned it was the CEO of Ever Ready or Duracell. Use to chopper in from NYC for the weekend. Never bothered the surf guys
BEETLE 04-29-2013, 02:09 PM N.ShoreFisher that girl is a freakin idiot. I can't stand her
Times 2
Clammer 04-29-2013, 02:09 PM Id hit it with a bat >>>>>>>>. she can write songs .....But her singing sucks ,,,,,,,,,,, :fury:
She even make it to the trails in American idol or The Voice :uhuh:
My radio is programmed to change stations as soon as it knows she playing next ...:buds:
1dozenraw 04-29-2013, 02:36 PM If I was fishing that stretch of beach and she walked by and asked me how I was doing, I'd be more than happy to be pleasant have a nice conversation with her. She lives an extraordinary life and she probably behaves much better and is way more put together than I was at 23. Folks like her are probably quite interesting. If she turns out to be an idiot or an Azz, I'd probably treat her the same as any fisherman who turns out that way... just move down the beach.
Heck, she's a kid and she knows how to make a ton of money with what she has to work with,. I'm fine with that and I'd love to sit on a log and get to know some about her.
Why not?
massgc 04-29-2013, 04:11 PM Who the F cares. It's a fishing site

Guppy 04-29-2013, 04:27 PM I think I'll bring the boat down there and become a fisharazzi :devil2:
Sgt_Nutz 04-29-2013, 04:29 PM Does she like to fish? Maybe she just needs an invite....
1dozenraw 04-29-2013, 04:34 PM 56050With a Lami old school glass rod?? Maybe... maybe not.
shadow 04-29-2013, 05:07 PM If she came down to fish a fall blitz that happens in front of her house I'd be more the happy to help her out. I'd rather have her standing next to me then any of the other novices that invade that area in the fall.even thou it's been years since iv fish there.

FishermanTim 05-15-2013, 11:34 AM "super fan"?????
More like a super idiot!
Sure, she may be able to write songs, but when she sings it's just like every other song she's ever sang, and she tries to hang on to her tween-fan base when she's hell and gone from her tween years.
If she can keep her private life private, all the better, but the gossip rags are loaded with child stars that "tried" to keep their lives private.
Let's face it, she is an attention hound and NEEDS to draw a crowd to validify her career. Have we forgotten exactly how many guys she's been "involved" with over the past few years???
As long as she doesn't get snotty and complain about the people walking on "her" beach.
Then the gloves come off!!!
tlapinski 05-15-2013, 12:03 PM Update on the trespassing arrest. By the way this is written he was arrested for "walking on Lighthouse Road." So now we can get arrested for just walking down to fish the point???
Taylor Swift Fan Charged With Trespassing By Westerly Police - Breaking News - Stonington-Mystic, CT Patch (http://stonington.patch.com/groups/breaking-news/p/taylor-swift-fan-charged-with-trespassing-by-westerly-police)
from what i understand that road has always been "private" but has never been enforced, or has sometimes been enforced loosely. Lets hope that this isn't the start of something horrible...
blondterror 05-15-2013, 02:07 PM Taylor Swift bought a house in Hyannisport (MA) about 18 months ago and sold it after owning it for less than a year... I think she was briefly dating a Kennedy... Hopefully the same will happen in RI.. I bet she will not spend much time there.... I cannot imagine stopping walking access to WH Light.... everyone would object loudly
FishermanTim 05-15-2013, 03:04 PM Which has she had more of, in a shorter time span: boys or houses?
(Sorry, but when you entire fan base is not old enough to vote, you are in desperate need of a reality check or dope slaps until you come to your senses.)

I don't understand why she needs a reality check or dope slap because she has young fans? Do you have some deep seated issues with young, female celebrities? Damn, you sound really bitter towards someone you don't even know.
FYI, I heard she moved here because she is dating RHM!
Rockport24 05-15-2013, 03:24 PM You guys should send her a tweet, I bet she would respond! Somebody make a you tube video asking her to go fishing with you! :rotflmao:
Clammer 05-15-2013, 03:42 PM yeah, the one she bought down the cape she paid 3M plus & sold it for a profit .
This one / she paid almost 18M & from what I,ve been told ; very good source] it needs work .........................................maybe she,s just becoming a very high end house flipper ;:jump1:
I still stick to my original bet offer .......... access to below her property for fishing / WILL be difficult by the end of summer /fall ><><:fishin: :fishin:
Raider Ronnie 05-15-2013, 03:44 PM I highly doubt all of her fan base is under 18.
Don't see the need for the hate here !
You prefer the Monkeys that get in trouble with the law or burn down houses ???

How many girlfriends did you have from 18 to your early 20's?
give me a break...
Pete F. 05-17-2013, 04:44 PM How many girlfriends did you have from 18 to your early 30's?
give me a break...
Fixed that for you
FishermanTim 06-04-2013, 03:27 PM Her security people have already begun ousting poeple from her private beach, even an organization that was doing a beach clean up.
They even patrol the public access route that leads to the public beach.
(it runs along her property line.)
As for my "hating" her, no I don't hate her for being successful.
I just find it unnerving that she seems to be catering to a younger audience than her own age.
Would it be alright for an adult to focus on youngsters, huh? No matter if it's a girl or a guy, just as long as they are successful in their career?
Would you want your kids to idolize the Pussycat Dolls and want to be just like them? Or maybe you would if it were your daughters that wanted to see them play and would spend money (yours) to get all their songs and dress up and go to their concerts?
It's more about what we turn a blind eye towards, what we will allow as long as it's not in our backyard and we don't have to see/hear it.
There are musicians, actors and sports figures I will not follow due to how they act and carry on OUTSIDE of their chosen profession, not just in it.
Oh, and I'd like to thank you to keep your comments on topic and not personal, for as Shakespeare states "Me doth think you protest too much!"
