Has had 5 Surgeries in 4 years and beaten cancer. He had at least one heart attack that he didn't know about and wrote off as indigestion or heart burn. One Quadruple bypass followed by a heart attack and another bypass three months after the quad(he was in the office working 5 days after the second bypass). He lives with a AAA that they monitor extremely closely as both my uncle and my grandfather had Aneurysms burst. My uncle Survived my grandfather made it six years almost to the day his burst but lived with congestive failure. He has had a hernia operation. Multipe trips to the cath lab. Been through Kidney stones half a dozen times. Abscess tooth removed etc. etc.

Today he had back surgery to repair a disk that had herniated leaving two vertebrae impinging on each other. This has caused him excruciating pain over the past year. I hope he can make it at least a calendar year without having something go wrong. He deserves it. Guy is tough as nails. I would have given up and hope some day I don't have to deal with the crap he has. At 64 he deserves to have another 20 years of easy living to make up for the past 4.

Sending good thoughts his way. Sounds like he is a survivor and a fighter.

I was going to say he sounds a lot tougher than me. Good luck to him.

God bless him, 64 is to young to put up with all that $hit. He beat the big C, that's the balls!

Your father and ultimately you come from very tough stock. Prayers and good luck to him, and ultimately you.

Ha no kidding. It was discovered with new genome technology that my family carries a mutated gene that reduces the amount of free folic acid in our system. So many of our issues that are cardio related are solved with the addition of a folic acid supplement. The wonders of modern technology.
