I guess this brood will reach as far north as CT&NJ. I wonder if the fish will eat them. Tie up some Black and Orange flies with red eyes? They look like baby lobsters.

Humans, too, can eat the cicadas. The recently emerged “tenerils” make for the tastiest snack, according to Discovery News, as their shells are still soft, meaning they can be cooked up like tiny shrimp.

Largemouth Bass will gobble them up...they'll be hanging by the trees overhanging the lakes waiting for them to drop in....

Hahaha, I had the same reaction when I read that. Nasty, but I bet the racoons are going to be a bunch of striped tailed jabba the hutt's.
