What weights will he throw? WESTPORTMAFIA 05-17-2013, 12:30 AM Spinning. 1-4 oz rating or in the ball park Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device piemma 05-17-2013, 01:44 AM I have a spinning 1 piece, Honey Lami, cork handles wrapped by the late Dave Hammock at Murats in the 80s. Been sitting for 20 years in the basement. Perfect condition. It might be a little stiff for 1 oz stuff but will certainly throw 2 to 4 perfectly. This is and "old guard" type rod. $125.00 firm. I have to go to CMS tomorrow and will be in your area if you want to look at it. missing link 05-17-2013, 09:44 AM Hi I got a question are the guides on that rod braid friendly? And what is "old guard " o 2 questions Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Not sure what "braid friendly" means. They are almost new. Old guard I mean cork handles. Not cork wrap, or shrink wrap. Old fashioned cork rings. If I have a chance, I'll post a picture missing link 05-17-2013, 06:17 PM thanks to me braid friendly means , I 've used a rod with braid and the braid sawed through the tip it was an old rod though. thanks ML Sr 1dozenraw 05-17-2013, 06:24 PM Change the tip maybe?? piemma 05-18-2013, 03:55 AM The rod has ceramic guides. It was made in the 80s not in prehistoric times.:smash: 1dozenraw 05-18-2013, 05:22 AM The rod has ceramic guides. It actually is a really nice rod. I had forgotten about it and found it in a corner with 5 or 6 other Murat rods including an 11' E or S (brown) glass wrapped by the master himself Charlie Murat. he died in 71 so this rod is probably 45 years old. I will not sell that rod. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
