yakanglr 05-27-2013, 05:39 PM At the risk of being accused of spot burning here is my weekend update. Friday night (shore) my buddy got tight with a nice 33" Striper, Saturday was pretty much a wash out, Sunday (shore) my buddy scores a decent Bluefish. I'm batting zero until this morning..., caught this Schoolie and got tight with a Fluke that didn't make it into the kayak.
PS - if you know where the background is from please don't spotburn..., Thank You!
BigFish 05-27-2013, 05:52 PM Keep posting yakanglr......if anyone has an issue with it tough! I am about as irritated by spot burning as anyone and even I do not get pissed if someone simply mentions the body of water they are on! Just plain silly!
yakanglr 05-27-2013, 05:55 PM My reports will be weekly... and I'm equipped with a good sense of humor. It's all about the catching..., and fishing! and yakking...
BigFish 05-27-2013, 06:13 PM Specific spots......you know what I mean......are frowned upon but general areas such as yours are just that....general areas! And this is just all about good times! Todays hot spots are tomorrows cold spots anyway! Any spot is only as good as when there are fish there...here today...gone tomorrow and if you do not know the EXACT SPOT......the search is on!!:uhuh:
BigFish 05-27-2013, 06:20 PM I did not make it out in the yak this weekend as most of my plans were scuttled by the weather....however I did fish from shore and had a slamming Sunday am with a personal best 33.45 pound striper and about 10 fish total between 14 and 33 pounds with most over 20 pounds!! It was a great morning, all fish were taken on plugs and it was from a portion of the New England coastline.......I hope that is not considered a spot burn??:jump1:
in two weeks i am going to have some free time and will CRUSH the bass in my hobie... just wait. :uhuh::uhuh:
The Dad Fisherman 05-27-2013, 07:40 PM Hoping to get out for some stripers and floundah this week......off til Monday.
