Are you kidding me? Brutal. Reality TV in real time, live. I was riveted to The Weather Channel as it was happening. I would be packing up and moving... T and Ps for those affected.
Those storm chasers are crazy. Only a matter of time before one or more are killed. TWC's Mike Bettis and crew were in a van that got lifted and tossed 200 yards into a field.

it's amazing how many feeds you can pick up now. Channel 9 in OKC had maybe 9 chasers and chopper up.

I just saw on the news that the guys from Twistex were killed Friday in a Tornado. Ted Samaras, long time driver / team member Carl Young, and Tim's son Paul were killed
Tornado chaser were researchers, not cowboys, colleagues say - CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/03/us/storm-chasers-killed/index.html)

My wife thinks I'm nuts but I would effing love to do that.....I love storms and would love to chase down and witness a tornado.....Probably soil my knickers in the process...but would still love to do it.

Same here.
One of the problems apparently is that a lot of people are chasing these days and gridlocking roads around where the tornadoes show up

I was in Indiana once when an F3 tornado came through. The sheer power was amazing and the noise was deafening. Having never seen one that close, me and my co-worker were outside watching it and everyone at the factory we were doing the work at was yelling at us to get inside to the safe room.
