View Full Version : losing a good friend
gone fishin 06-08-2013, 11:27 AM I have been absent from posting on this forum for awhile, but would like to make the North Shore fishermen aware of a good friend and fellow MBBA member who is now in a hospice living out his last days. He is not an old man, but has been knocked down with a horrible case of cancer. Rick Brown has been fishing Plum Island Reserve from a sand vehicle for many years. He has always been willing to help out with conservation projects and go-fish days for the families who introduced their kids to fishing. He is now fighting for comfort and please keep Rick in your thoughts and prayers.

Karl F 06-08-2013, 05:05 PM This is a rough one Don, the man is too young.. I don't know Rich well, but the few times I've met him he seemed like a real genuine kind of guy. May he find peace... and heartfelt thoughts to his wife Nance (plumcrazy) and all of you on the north shore that fished with him.
JohnR 06-08-2013, 06:44 PM Our heartfelt thoughts & prayers out to Rick (and Nancy!)

tattoobob 06-10-2013, 04:17 PM Rick and his wife Nancy took me under there wing when I first started over sand fishing from my Red ford ranger way back when, The drive and dedication that Rick has for this sport, access and conservation is 2nd to none. I was truly taken back when I heard of this news and pray for his last days on earth to be full of memories of Plum Island sun rises and steller days catching fish one after an other for hours
Thanks for posting this Don
