Don't know what channel the special was on last night, but I found it very interesting. Like most, I've heard about those that felt it was all a hoax and we never landed on the moon, but I never really paid it any attention. I have to say that after giving some of the evidence in this special some thought, it has me thinking. Some of the most compelling evidence presented was as follows.

1. The american flag was waving, which isn't likely without an atmosphere.

2. Numerous videos where the sun was clearly behind the orbitor, yet every inch of the orbitor which should have been in shadow, was as clear as a bell. This along with other videos and still shots, all showing distinctly different shadow orientations, suggested more than one light source.

3. Video from what was supposedly 2 different locations on 2 different days, yet when the landscape is overlayed on top of each other; it's the same.

Then there was a lot of talk about the radiation belt and the fact the sun at a record high period of huge solar flares at the time. Questionable (according to those doubters) that the ship and suits would have protected the astronauts from the radiation.

It will be interesting to see what the Japan orbitor sends back for pictures in a couple years. Not likely that taking pictures of our landing sites is a high priority, tight lines.

You mean there is truth to that line in the REM song? Really makes one wonder don't it? When I was a kid I thought by the time I was 40 , you could buy tickets to the moon. I guess that's a ways off. Good luck with those space-age metal rods of your's. I bet they'll be sa weet.

They went to the stinkin' moon. If you want to watch a great documentary, HBO has been running a docu on the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team. Excellent show which even if you are not a hockey fan, you would enjoy (note for young kids, some profanity). I'm getting chills just thinking about that show...

Ya John, I watched them walk on the moon live on tv, my parents kept me up to watch it.

I don't get HBO but I'm sure it is good to watch. I enjoyed watching that gold medal team. (I was a goalie at the time). My best friend lives in Easton and he has told me when they were in High school they used to pick on Jim Craig, I told him that wasn't too cool. I guess Jim grew some stones when he went to college and was in the right place at the right time. I would have loved to be in his position at that time. Maybe my 20 min. will come someday on a beach...
