Common yard bird! Raven 06-10-2013, 08:07 PM this old Lady one day was watching me save a young sparrow that fell out of a nest..... she said " it's only a sparrow" indicating that she thought it was of little value i paused thinking of my lessons learned and went into a deep form of meditation for a few moments time slowed down to about 1 tenth speed.... i replied quite slowly.... in a Shaman's tone looking deeply into her in eyes ..... The bird is not stupid. It's just has the munchies and probably sees some snacks through the window. bloocrab 06-10-2013, 10:47 PM Larry, the bird was doing a "knock, knock" joke....you just never said .."knock, knock...who?"... You're not a very good sport. :devil2: WESTPORTMAFIA 06-11-2013, 12:52 PM Larry, the bird was doing a "knock, knock" joke....you just never said .."knock, knock...who?"... Raven 06-11-2013, 07:50 PM when i was a kid i'd play these cool bird recordings out the window to attract exotics (hopefully) or i should say :point: very colorful songbirds. My Neighbor was Mr Wilson and i was Denise the menace always fooling him into thinking a non new england bird was in the area..... he'd be out there with his binoculars looking everywhere but never actually seeing the bird that was doing the singing. This went on for months. it was allot of fun. justplugit 06-11-2013, 08:08 PM this old Lady one day was watching me save a young sparrow that fell out of a nest..... she said " it's only a sparrow" indicating that she thought it was of little value i paused thinking of my lessons learned and went into a deep form of meditation for a few moments time slowed down to about 1 tenth speed.... i replied quite slowly.... in a Shaman's tone looking deeply into her in eyes ..... Raven 06-12-2013, 04:45 AM maybe i should re-read that book as i march up and down the drive way stepping on carpenter ants with Gusto. :btu: ( unfortunately it got consumed) Raven 06-12-2013, 04:57 AM Birds are facinating i've always thought as they are truly miniature dinosauers in reality.... their eye sight is impecable combined with unimaginable hearing they go thru life ever on the alert for predators from above and below... having insane reactionary reflexes ~ i had a hummingbird stuck in the green house yesterday it was flying back and forth then going up to the curved ceiling at each end thinking i'm trapped , im trapped.... even though the open door was right there BIG as day... she still couldn't find it... so i grabbed a HB feeder and hung it in the middle to feed it so it wouldn't exhaust itself in a panic.... then i stood there very still , saying in body language : i'm no threat.... as it landed on a bit of wire attached to a fan to rest.... i then re-hung the feeder a bit lower than the door opening and allowed it to find it's freedom..... Jackbass 06-23-2013, 11:53 AM Just had a black bird pecking my chrome wheels right after I cleaned em. Yep Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Zeal 06-23-2013, 04:03 PM Had a Woodpecker and a Robin do that a bunch of times and would damage the rear view mirrors. They are like Siamese fighting fish with a mirror, they think it's a rival and they just keep trying to kill it. I think the birds are Highlanders but that's just me....
