Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device piemma 06-12-2013, 02:05 AM Spence called me right after it happened. Amazing story. BigFish 06-12-2013, 04:15 AM Maybe someone could tell it to us so we could make a little more out of this thread?:uhuh: piemma 06-12-2013, 04:36 AM Apparently some guy lost all his rods and reels off the top of his car. Yak stayed put. I believe Spence ran over all of the guys gear Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Nebe 06-12-2013, 05:02 AM You would think the guy would have used leashes for his gear... Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device It was certainly lashed down at least...the problem was he was doing 80+ mph. Thank god the yak didn't let go...The sound of all those rods and reels crunching under my car was painful to hear. Thankfully I don't see any damage to my vehicle. And then on the way home I was stuck for an hour just east of Groton. Good size boat flipped upside down on 195. Not a nice day for water sports on the highway. -spence Rockport24 06-12-2013, 10:25 AM did he have some kind of rod rack on the car or were they just tied to the roof rack? I am thinking of getting a roof top rod rack and wonder if one failed so I can avoid it! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
