Make sure the boric acid makes it thick. They will all die in no time. Make sure you don't have any animals around to get to it though. Also spray the outside of the foundation with a good ant spray. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device macojoe 07-18-2013, 08:55 AM i live in a mobile home now no foundation, just dirt Thanks!! spence 07-18-2013, 10:56 AM This has been a bad year for ants. The Terro baits work pretty well. You could also try spreading the granules made for ants 2-3 feet all around the mobile home. -spence Raven 07-18-2013, 04:23 PM SAFER Brand diomataceous earth that white powder that is edible it's so safe lowes has it.... made from ultra tiny skeletons from sealife like krill and brine shrimp ect.harvested from the sea. the powder perforates their exoskeleton s grinding holes into their armor and acts as a desiccant... dehydrating them! yesterday i was lucky to find a huge colony ---it was huge like a tiny ant woodstock in a very thick circle could have been 500 000 ants and i quickly grabbed a spray can and made them dead. it was only 5 feet from the house. Nebe 07-18-2013, 05:22 PM Terro. It works Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device spence 07-18-2013, 06:13 PM Terro. It works Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Yea but if they're bad you've got to get them outside. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Nebe 07-18-2013, 08:20 PM Yes. I have found that if they are bad, I have to do 3 treatments of Terro. I think that has to do with baby ants hatching. Gotta kill em in waves. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device macojoe 07-18-2013, 10:25 PM thanks guys!! I got tpo do something fast as they are taking over!! I have a dog and Cat so I might give ravens a try first. Raven 07-19-2013, 06:22 AM well i have this very old stone cutting board on my kitchen counter that's been in the family for generations ..... the Tiny ants were invading big-time and scurrying back underneath the cutting board because it's raised up a notch on rubber feet. so i removed it and spread the safer D earth there and spread it around then i put into the crack too.... between the counter top and the wall. they have left the building.... without pesticides containing chemicals! Raven 07-19-2013, 06:25 AM cleaning something outside this am with the hose over by the tree the black carpenter ants started pouring out at the base of the tree so i grabbed the super ANT spray fast and destroyed another nest ! i'll be buying two more cans , one to use and another for infestations but STRICTLY for outdoor use. macojoe 07-23-2013, 10:26 AM well i did both!! terro baits and the safer spray, and after just about a hour bam no more ants! at least for now! Thanks Guys Joe! WESTPORTMAFIA 07-24-2013, 08:56 PM If they come back just get some meth. Find a young blonde with yellow teeth and a couple c sections. Give her a straw. Then give her a crumb piece of the cornbread for every 1000 ants she snorts. It will cost you a few hundred but you won't have ants in a 3 block radius. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Pete_G 07-25-2013, 12:43 PM If they're odorous ants (they smell like rotten coconut if you crush them), get some of this stuff. They carry it back to the nest and that's the end of it. It usually completely stops an invasion in 24 hours for me. http://www.amazon.com/Advion-Bait-gram-Tubes-Plunger/dp/B002Y2H6VS/ref=sr_1_3?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1374774035&sr=1-3&keywords=ant+bait+gel http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Szl324fzL._SX450_.jpg Raven 07-28-2013, 11:21 AM my nemesis in ANTS is the dreaded :af: FIRE-ANT :af: just reading about a unique way to handle them using soap and orange oil i believe .... got bit by one and i wanted that arm "gone" it was so bad. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
