Hit the Weds 7/17 show and it rocked. They did a great cover of Ryan Adams "Let it Ride" in addition to a bunch of other classics.

Speedway is such an awesome tune to see played live, which the Dead dropped in the early 70's and Furthur resurrected in a big way.

Set I

Passenger
Crazy Fingers
I Need A Miracle
Wang Dang Doodle
Mississippi Half Step
Let It Ride
Sugaree

Set II

Weather Report Suite
He's Gone
New Speedway Boogie
Uncle John's Band
Black Peter
Not Fade Away >
Going Down The Road Feeling Bad >
Not Fade Away

Encore: Ripple

Good to see a lot of old heads there who are just catching on to Furthur. Lots of folks said they'd never go again after Jerry passed, but fact is Furthur kicks it like the Dead did in the 70's, maybe even better in terms of consistency. :uhuh:

Glad you guys enjoyed, I didn't make it this year.

(Jerry brought New Speedway Boogie back into the rotation in 91. They performed it an equal number of times between 69-70 and 91-95)

Never knew they brought it back. Last show I went to was in July '90. I thought they were going downhill fast as a band so I lost interest until the current Furthur lineup took hold.

Either way, I think a lot of the old Dead stuff that has been resurrected by Furthur is being played better than it was in most every Dead era, save for the 70's.
