Wondering how many guys have had their boats blessed?

It seems bikers take blessing of the bikes pretty seriously, not sure its a spiritual thing for them or maybe safety or just the love for the bike. Like bikes boats and boaters fall under the same category. I think as S-B fishing web site a lot of guys believe in prayers so why knot bless your rig...or yak. :)

The blessing of the boats is held at the working waterfront festival in New Bedford it mostly for commercial fleet but many rec boats receive holy water too.

Had my boat blessed last year during the blessing of the fleet. Caught a tuna fish the next day.

Have not had my boat blessed this year. Not doing so well.

I'm an agnostic but if I helps me catch tuna fish...

I could have used an exorcism in July. I swear the boat was possessed.

:D

One of the reason i really enjoy fishing on your boat and with the freak, its a "DRAMA FREE ZONE", its all about fishing and enjoying the day!

:hs: ...Disagree.
Religions' saved many a night for me out on the water. Even had divine intervention AT LEAST one night. Swore I wouldn't speak of it, but it happened...and I am grateful. Although I may not understand it all, I respect it.

To address the thread; Although I may have missed the "Blessing" of a fleet, Holy Water will find its way across my vessel.

P.S. - Not preaching, just stating my opinion.
