Several years ago, someone succeeded in growing incredible worms; there was an article on it in the Boston Globe. They looked like boa constrictors; I would have been afraid to put one on my hook because they'd bite my finger off! Unfortunately, the (obviously threatened) worm diggers found out about it, and somehow or other managed to shut them out of the bait shops. So now, we have overpriced, undersized worms. Guppy 09-07-2013, 06:01 AM Been like that for weeks down here I look thru the doz before buying A good size sand eel ?????? Stripersurg 09-07-2013, 06:40 AM This isn't new news, local, such as in the states, worm availability has dropped off since a large European company has started to flood the market with cheap worms. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device big jay 09-07-2013, 07:43 PM It's the tides - the last few days they've been crappy, but we'll have good ones again by midweek. Last week I had 3 or 4 per dozen over 12"s. Bruce @ Canal Bait goes the extra mile to have quality when the rest of the cape is out or has shidoobi.
