rphud 09-10-2013, 08:08 PM I second the motion. I have not fished with Bill, but I have met him and he seems like one of those really nice guys. Seems to have been doing this for a while as well.
puppet 09-10-2013, 10:46 PM Definitely hire Bill. You will
cover so much more ground
and learn things that would
take years to figure out.
If you csn hire him at the
beginning of your trip it will
give you a great jumpstart on
the balance.

puppet 09-11-2013, 08:04 AM As a follow up thought....Bill can be booked solid.
Especially during the fall prime. Definitely Contact Bill,
but if he is booked you can try Steve Knapik.
I have never hired Steve Knapik, but he also will guide Montauk.

Good luck and have fun!
JohnnySaxatilis 09-11-2013, 08:31 AM What could someone expect to pay for hiring a guide at said location?
rphud 09-11-2013, 10:11 AM Good form Z, well played!
Zeno if Bill is booked up! More of the same.

Its on their sites.

6 hours $285

4 hours $200
I have gone out with Bill twice. Each time targeting different
locations. He has all the parking and oversand permits, so as you
can imagine, if you are casual visitor you will have access to
stretches of beach that normally you would not have access to.
Bill is charged with positive energy and information. Left to my
own devices, it usually takes me a couple of days to
dial in. If you factor in the cost of hotels, hiring a guide is a no
brainer for getting a multi-day head start on some good fishing.

I don't guide. I tried one year but it was not my thing.
Only if Kate Upton calls would I reconsider..my wife is ok with that

absolutely...all around he is a great
and generous guy. Seems to share
everything he knows and is
extremely candid and honest. I wish
I could fish with him more often.
