View Full Version : Music: What gets you ready?
Linesider82 09-19-2013, 04:24 PM I have always listened to music and for me nothing gets me into anything else like music. Work or play. For me, guitar riffs and drums get it all going. I get jacked up before I ever see the water and it helps me concentrate when I do. So what gets you pumped up and in the zone for Striped Bass Music?

He said, Jimmy Houston and referenced Billy Joel in one sentence... the fishing king and one of the best NE musicians of all time! Yes, I'd catch fish after that BOOM!
Pink Floyd gets me going but Pavarotti calls the bass.

nightfighter 09-19-2013, 08:34 PM Some Little Feat; like Spanish Moon, Oh Atlanta, Fat Man in the Bathtub, Dixie Chicken. Been known to wake up a harbor in the pre dawn with one of those tunes.....
Hookedagain 09-19-2013, 08:42 PM It depends for me. If we are in the boat winching them off the bottom, its AC/DC or Rush or something hard. At night in the surf its something along the lines of Bob Marley or Jimmy Buffett. My mood has a lot to do with the music I listen to, as a musician I have a huge variety of music I listen to.

fishbones 09-20-2013, 10:05 AM It all depends on what type of mood I'm in. Some nights, I'll have the Sox or Bruins game on the radio. Lately, depending on what type of mood I'm in it's been lots of Transplants, Tim Timebomb and Friends, Rocket From the Crypt or if I'm more relaxed something like Cisco Adler.

Linesider82 09-24-2013, 09:59 PM Tool, pantera, led zepplin, go-to bands for me. I like and enjoy music in general, my family with the exception of myself all have talents with music. I think if I ever hear Pavarotti on the beach at 2am, I'd find a nice rock to sit and listen. however, it's hard guitar riffs and double bass drum rolls that get me focused. I can't explain it, but that's me.

For me it's Country, nothing like hart -n- soul.
It gives me insight and appreciation for the things I am fortunate enough to do.
