Due to how big the database is getting, PLEASE post no more than 2 posts with attachments in the same thread - at least of the same fish - as the S-B database is gettin' big. It grew 22 megs in the past month.

The best way to post pics is if they are hosted externally and linked to S-B, then they take no room in my database :D

Thanks...

www.dotphoto.com (http://www.dotphoto.com) gives you free storage and albums. You can download also order prints from them.

To use their storage just look at the properties of the picture you want ( right-click on the pcture, select properties)

then use that address in the IMG tag for the image you want to post.

example shown below using the forums site and logo :)

I read the Terms of service and linking to images is not disallowed.

You got me John. You discovered my secret.

See, if you catch NOTHING, than you have NOTHING to post, and then the overcrowding database has NOTHING to do with you.

I know, I know, you don't have to tell me: keep up the good work, right? I will. :smash:

Izzy, thats great! Where did you land that? Did you use eels, chunk bait, or the old point-and-click-mouse method?

LOL, boy am I in rare form today..... full moon??

CAUTION

Please do not link images from sites that do not allow such linking.
Not so sure how amazon would feel about that link.

The term in question is "deep-linking" some big money sites get pissed when folks do that. There are simple methods to disallow it however they would rather go through the court system.

If you are linking to dotphoto at least we can expect that YOU own the photo.

Don't want to get anyone into hot water.

Izzy, I am laughing out loud?! What ARE you doing??!?! I'm expecting a picture of Michael Jackson soon on this thread!

Speaking of MJackson, I gotta joke:

Whats the difference between a plastic bag and Michael Jackson?

One's white, made of plastic and dangerous to children.

The other's a plastic bag.

LOL.

Now to answer your question: Yah, I went Monday, got nothing but a sunburn. But am going out Sunday for some...

Sorry folks. party is over.
DotPhoto is now not allowing remote linking to pictures.
I figured the party wouldn't last but wasn't sure how long it would take.

Any idea how bad the load if for uploaded images here?

As my present employer is essentially shutting down, I am looking at starting up a little webhosting business on the side.
any of you interested PM me. If I can get enough interest I will do it.

I figure it will be about 10bucks a month
Email with some SPAM filtering
DNS service for those with their own domains
basic light weight WebPage hosting
