Played hookey with the boy, went to fish the dropping tide at a good productive spot this time of year. Figured being a Tuesday who would have been there other then the Tog'ers... NOPE!... Gate is up, Signs posted.. AREA CLOSED... :(
WTF, burned a vacation day, figured on hitting Sachuest (http://www.fws.gov/sachuestpoint/)first thing this am, getting some shellfish (which we are still going to do in a couple of hours) then fish for some tog on the incoming before Mom comes home...
I checked their site but apparently you need to go to DOI.gov according to the sign. (Obamba just wrote a letter) . On the bright side i guess the small tog will live for another day.
Here is the reason. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/washington-braces-for-the-first-shutdown-of-the-national-government-in-17-years/2013/09/30/977ebca2-29bd-11e3-97a3-ff2758228523_story.html)
All federal places are closed until they decide on what health insurance policy they will get and who will issue (pay) for it.
Plan accordingly.
