Just a few squid shapes, just getting used to the lathe....not weighted, tested or rigged....just turning and trying different color schemes. The dark picture is actually me trying to show the glow in the dark coming through the paint. Really cool, but a b#$ch to catch on film!

thanks Paul, I got a long way before I get anywhere near what some of you guys can do, but man, it sure is fun and addicting. I find myself at work(I work in a furniture store) looking at all the table legs and wondering what they would be like to turn. lol.

LOL. Watch out is is very addicting. I think at this point I have it under control better but at one time I was out of control. Make stuff you will fish that way you can learn a lot instead of making all kinds of stuff you will never fish and hang in your cellar. Have fun.

Will do! That squid is def something that I want to get in the water. There's so many squid up here in the summer, I can't see it not working. As far as hanging a ton of lures in the basement, I'm strangely ok with that! ;)

Nothing wrong with that. The squid or hanging a ton of lures. Last winter and spring I made more plugs than I had in all the years past, combined. Interestingly, I am now without a single one I made. Traded a bunch, but mostly gave away the majority. Handed over my last spook and two pencils to a couple of guys on the beach last week. Not like I am lacking for plugs. Best is to get a text or call when they have been catching on them!
