ThrowingTimber 10-07-2013, 11:49 AM It's a hassle and by low profile do you mean one of the cheap tape on reeel seats? numbskull 11-16-2013, 06:14 PM It actually is pretty easy. Just hacksaw in spiral pattern from one end to the other and pry/ peel it off. Then use a heat gun to soften the epoxy on the blank and scrape it off. stripermaineiac 11-16-2013, 10:14 PM If you've got a Dremel tool use a cutting disc and slowly cut the reel seet from end to end.Jus t be carefull so as to not cut too deep. after its cut through on one side use a screw driver to spread it a bit at the cut. then take a heat gun to break the epoxy loose. The reel seat will come loose. Remove it then heat the epoxy and scrape the epoxy off. I use a butter knife so as to not hurt the blank. I've done this loads of times . It works . the point 11-16-2013, 11:14 PM If you've got a Dremel tool use a cutting disc and slowly cut the reel seet from end to end.Jus t be carefull so as to not cut too deep. after its cut through on one side use a screw driver to spread it a bit at the cut. then take a heat gun to break the epoxy loose. No the fuji one the gentleman out on in Florida for me. it is a larger fuji compared to my rain shadows fuji reel seat. I'll pull it off over the next couple of months before the spring. I'll let you know how I make it Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
