Tough about the rod Have fun on your trip.kawaii is Absolute paradise. There is a reason why so many movies r made there. We almost moved there after our honeymoon.
Spend the money and go on a helicopter tour there. I think we went with blue hawaii or something. Most orgasmic experience of my life

If it is offered on Kauai for guided night dive with Manta Rays, GO. I don't recommend it for kids under 15 or poor swimmers. Agree, helicopter tours are worth every penny. This is a good rod, I own it & have used it for Stripers on occasion, but it really is good for big pike baits.

It is a good rod... I just have another for the same purpose. We are renting snorkling gear from a local shop. I'm told that the reef off Baby Beach is active. Fotunately my son was at the same house last year so he knows the area. Just hanging on the beach with the wee little ones will be great for this old codger. I love being Gramps.
