When I fish at night, before I stop, I make some final casts for Steve and remember how lucky I am to be able to do it. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device JohnR 11-15-2013, 07:53 AM Yes. Thinking of him more again the past few days. goosefish 11-15-2013, 08:26 AM I didn't know him, met him a few times. But it's hard to lose a fisherman friend. fishpoopoo 11-15-2013, 09:44 AM Wow. Mr. Sandman 11-15-2013, 04:28 PM It is sad to see so many good fishermen who were also good guys pass on. ProfessorM 11-15-2013, 04:55 PM Wow. Hard to believe, 4 years. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Zeno 11-15-2013, 04:58 PM We all feel fortunate to have known him RIP saltfly 11-15-2013, 10:08 PM http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripertalk/attachment.php?attachmentid=57475&stc=1&d=1384571281Drifting along the flats outside of Barnstable harbor.....................................You'll never be forgotten.RIP vineyardblues 11-16-2013, 04:12 PM A giant of a man in many ways Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device justplugit 11-16-2013, 04:25 PM I was just thinking of him last week and how he had such a close relationship with his Brother, and how he still felt his presence after he was killed in Vietnam. Steve was way to young. :( Tagger 11-16-2013, 06:45 PM Big part of Plugfest went with Steve .. miss him . Nebe 11-16-2013, 08:17 PM I loved his political views. He was a smart guy who lived life with both eyes open. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 11-16-2013, 10:31 PM I've lost some good friends in the course of my life that made definite impressions on me.... and nary a day goes by without me thinking of them while I didn't know Steve as well as you guys did... I truly Miss him... as he was always so kind to me with a good word or two that brightened your day. there's a moment in time that's etched into my mind so literally like carved into stone.... @ that last plug-fest amidst the din of voices time suddenly stood still as I watched him hold up a plug for awhile and go deep into thought... he was in the room yet not there at all... detached ... in a different dimension Hard to explain... the feeling I had...observing it... i'll never forget it... it's like an old time black and white antique photograph in my mind SAUERKRAUT 11-21-2013, 04:26 PM I remember Steve often; even though I am in Arizona and a long way from my "pick board" where his red/white surfster gift he made hangs in the center of it. ProfessorM 11-21-2013, 04:30 PM Hey Alan. Hope all is well. Getting cold here. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 11-21-2013, 05:42 PM strange....that after Steve's passing I found out he worked at the High School where I attended school and was known by a co-worker friend of mine. She said he led a double life and didn't say much about fishing or plug making .... while there..... kept it all private. joebaggs99 11-21-2013, 06:11 PM Pictures of Steve's lures? I think I might have one of his flap tails. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
