Hard to believe it was 4 years yesterday. Those who knew him miss him.

Our lives were better with Steve around. When I fish at night, before I stop, I make some final casts for Steve and remember how lucky I am to be able to do it.

I didn't know him, met him a few times. But it's hard to lose a fisherman friend.

I was just thinking of him last week and how he had such a close
relationship with his Brother, and how he still felt his presence after
he was killed in Vietnam.
Steve was way to young. :(

I loved his political views. He was a smart guy who lived life with both eyes open.

I've lost some good friends in the course of my life
that made definite impressions on me....
and nary a day goes by without me thinking of them

while I didn't know Steve as well as you guys did...
I truly Miss him... as he was always so kind to me
with a good word or two that brightened your day.

there's a moment in time that's etched into my mind
so literally like carved into stone....

@ that last plug-fest amidst the din of voices time suddenly stood still
as I watched him hold up a plug for awhile and go deep into thought...

he was in the room yet not there at all... detached ... in a different dimension
Hard to explain... the feeling I had...observing it... i'll never forget it...
it's like an old time black and white antique photograph in my mind

I remember Steve often; even though I am in Arizona and a long way from my "pick board" where his red/white surfster gift he made hangs in the center of it.

strange....that after Steve's passing I found out he worked
at the High School where I attended school and was known
by a co-worker friend of mine. She said he led a double life and didn't say much about
fishing or plug making .... while there..... kept it all private.

Pictures of Steve's lures? I think I might have one of his flap tails.
