Can't say how they'd hold up for the salt. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device seadogg 11-19-2013, 08:13 PM I sell a ton of em at my work and I've had nothing but positive feedback. They're sturdy, very smooth and look pretty good too. Worth the cash, I'd say. Not really casting it far so I can't say if they are good for that but I like it so far. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Raven 11-20-2013, 05:20 AM I like that spool gasket idea http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/ravenob1/sign-GUYS/battle.png Rockfish9 11-20-2013, 11:22 AM I've had mine since they came out.. I own 2... the only issue was broken bail cam on the first one I bought ( the early ones were plastic the later ones are aluminum) .. it cost more to ship the part than it cost.. mine have taken hundreds of big bass... all on light line... Great boat reels but if from shore u r better off with the captiva ( replaced the old non braid friendly ss series reels) as it has a sealed drag as opposed to the battle that doesnt. Also captiva is lighter Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device chaz 11-20-2013, 07:47 PM i have the 6000 and have used it at the ditch for the past couple of years, its been good its real tough no complaints yet, think i paid like a 100 for it on line someplace. Uncle Rob 11-20-2013, 08:50 PM I would really like to thank all the input that has been given. I just can't get over the price. Going to buy two to start. Thanks again!! piemma 11-21-2013, 10:40 AM Sold a lot of them this summer as well based mainly on piemmas feedback before. I had terrible luck with mine( captiva).. the bail roller kept freezing on both of them.. it musta been somethig I do... everyone else loves them.. even the guy i sold mine too...:rotf2: Rockfish9 11-21-2013, 12:36 PM I also own the more expensive Conquer.. the battle is less expensive and better built IMHO Raven 11-21-2013, 05:47 PM Looks more like the DAIWA in spool Width (design) but that might be my imagination vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
