my local ski area,sugarbush opened today,for me that is the true sign of winters start.if ski season turns out to be as good as my fish season i will be more than happy.

I'm still in my shorts. Just can't give into the cold yet! Although the Temp.is going very low this week-end "DARN IT".

LOL There's already ski's in the rod racks of many of the cars drivin around LOL showin many gave up fishin . Mine still have a couple rods left.My skiing abilities amount to face plant every 30 ft. LOL

Balmy here in NW RI. 9 wind chill. I'm grillin" with 5 Becks to help.

Big gusty wind and 24 degrees at my house. I think some of the gusts are 40+ knots. Don't know what wind chill that is but I sure wouldn't want to be playing football 10 miles from here!

my 5 and 8 year olds had soccer games in it today. Rather comical. Goals blowing over, balls kicked in the air heading backwards. 23 deg. with 30 mph winds at game time. Don't think I will fish tonight.

Yup, just finished putting up the film over the new windows. 28 here. I still haven't turned on my heat yet this year (I am making 5 gallons of turkey stock right now and also brochiolle).

I have some EMS heavy thermal fleece undies that are made for games like this. Also work great under waders...

Just come out of the shop. Winds finally eased up but it's damn cold out.

minus 1 at the summit this morning,the winds were honking,about 6 inches of new snow,only lasted 4hrs skiing,getting soft as i get up in age. the good thing is that just like fishing,the worse the weather the less the crowd and more times than not better conditions skiing and more fish when fishing.

I used to ice climb an such. temp was important. The colder the better.Important thing here is used ta LOL

maniac,the way skiing was yesterday,ice climbing equipment might have been a better choice than skis

It's times like this when I ask myself why the hell did I move back north from Miami ... as I'd much rather be wearing shorts, and there is great fishing in South Florida and the Keys ... including some great back country fishing in the Everglades ...

andy, you came back to have syd! :uhuh: oh it's 19 degrees here now.

Maybe a TRIP to Florida???
