View Full Version : Can we stand up to their high scoring offense?
Saltheart 11-23-2013, 10:00 AM Tomorrows Pats/Denver game comes down to offensive punch. Yes we will score points but will Denver get their usual 40? If they do we are likely sunk. Good chance for turnovers though so there could be some surprises. I think the Pats play better against the better teams , must be psych. Anyway , no predictions for tomorrow :) but I will be hoping!
Standing O for Wes too. he earned it in his years here. Tough as nails and puts it all on the line every week.

warning, a little bad language by Fitzy on this one
townienews is a great site
I think if the Pats don't jamb the Broncos receivers, they will be in big trouble. Time to earn your paychecks team, play 60 minutes and no mistakes like last week because there is no room with this team for errors much like last week only worse because the Broncos offense is much better. Brady needs to be accurate, quick and smart with the ball. And Ridley better not fumble.
If the crowd boos Welker, that will be a shame. I am not going, but if I was, I would give him a standing ovation like I would Adam Viniteri. He deserves a round of applause. so I hope the classless fans STFU
iamskippy 11-23-2013, 04:19 PM For the first since 1985 i will be a pats fanfor about 3 hours

BigFish 11-23-2013, 06:44 PM Standing "O" for Wes out of the gate....all BOOOOOS after that!! Broncos I think are gonna kick our ass! Sorry....I am a Pats fan but I call them the way I see them...hope I am very wrong! That would be cool!
afterhours 11-23-2013, 06:49 PM I don't think our db's can survive a shootout. i'm thinking our gameplan will call for ball control to the nth degree.
Saltheart 11-23-2013, 07:34 PM The pass rush has to get to Peyton or our goose is cooked!
iamskippy 11-23-2013, 08:17 PM Pats got this

Raider Ronnie 11-23-2013, 08:23 PM I think Wes Weckler will have a pretty good game and the home crowd will treat him good as they should, while both Gonk & Grawbowski will stink up the place.
It's going to be pretty cold game.
News says will be 22 degrees at start of the game.
I expect a well played game and in the end Veritek will attempt to split the uprights with a 3-2 fast ball.
BigFish 11-23-2013, 11:32 PM Is Kenny Garnet and Phil Pierce playing????:rotf2:

Goose 11-24-2013, 01:11 PM I hope the Pats have what it takes to can get back to the 'bend don't break' philosophy,, coupled with 1 turnover they should come away with a W. I know thats alot to ask for against Denver. Im surprised so many are picking against New England,, maybe thats a good thing. Great opportunity for the Pats to show their true colors.
iamskippy 11-24-2013, 06:28 PM Go PATS!

It's 22 here on the Cape right now. I'm thinking mid-teens in Foxboro for the kick-off.

afterhours 11-24-2013, 08:13 PM the colder and windier the better.
Saltheart 11-24-2013, 08:42 PM Bench Ridley , on second thought Is it too late to trade Ridley?? Man that guy has to go!
ProfessorM 11-24-2013, 09:03 PM Nope.
I told Bruce yesterday I had a feeling they would lose by 30. I may be right.
Slipknot 11-24-2013, 09:59 PM Paul, you wanna go to the game tonight ?
I wonder if they have it in them to come back like last year against the niners( I was at that game) or will it end in a goose egg like the lawyer Milloy game 10 years ago ?

ProfessorM 11-25-2013, 06:50 AM LOL I knew if I posted that prediction they would make it close. What horrible conditions last nite. Quite the victory. If you stayed up and watched it Bruce you deserved it.

blondterror 11-25-2013, 08:11 AM Coach Bill's decisions in OT payed off... what did he say at halftime?
I ended up leaving at halftime. Mostly cause I had to wake up at 5 for work and a 2 o'clock bedtime is no good.kickingmyself in the ass now

Saltheart 11-25-2013, 11:46 AM Exciting second half! Manning was definitely not on his game. I think he was freezing his butt off! :)
Brady had the big night and luck was on our side.
I still say Ridley is not worth the risk of handing the ball to him. That guy has to go!
Go Pats

Not really. Despite the halftime score, Manning had a crapy first half. Into the wind he was throwing knuckleballs, and with it his ball was sailing high. The only good ball he threw was the third TD. I didn't stay up for the end, but you had to figure that the kickoff would go out of the end zone and Manning wouldn't move them into the wind.
