The "i" models are all from China. The regular 7000's were from the Far East for a while too. Surprisingly, the reels made in Taiwan were the best of the bunch. Look for a green 7000B. Add ball bearings for the spool ($10) and you will have, what quite a few of us consider, the best of the 7000s.

I really want Sweden made only. I have had every one of the models Abu made (almost). This is a gift for someone. Long story but Sweden made is what I needed.

I have a mint 7000CL Big Game. Made in Sweden. This reel is mint in every way. I sent it out to have to have it tricked out with spool bearings, level wind bearings, ceramic pawl, Carbontex drag and new type power handle. I paid over $250 total, will sell for $200 shipped.
