Hookedagain

I know this sounds simple, however.....I am at a loss. I tried to hook up a DVD player on my sons T V and all seemed good until I put a DVD in. The DVD player screen with the Sony logo comes up but when the movie starts there is no volume. I tried using the line out, and component jacks and neither got me volume. Someone out there must know what I am doing wrong.

Either…

1) You're drinking.

or

2) Check your cables again. This why they invented HDMI.

If you go HDMI find the cheapest cable you can find. Like 10 bucks...

But that being said, there's no reason why it shouldn't work assuming the hardware hasn't failed. Perhaps test the inputs and outputs on other devices to isolate the issue. Could be the DVD TV or cable is bad.

might be the auxiliary setting is disabled for sound
you need the tv manual

If the dvd player is bad hit me up. I have a good one you can have. I think I have monster component cables to go with. I'll come by and get it going for you if you need help.

Good point. Should be able to find this without the manual as long as you have the remote.
