Went to the doctor and after looking at all the blood work and feeling like I have been he said its time to start dialysis. But first we have to do the blood test for Hepatitise, and TB. Had the bloood work done yesterday for the Hep test and going today for the TB.
I was hoping till after Xmas and may still get luck, as I have to get the tests done first? Said the first treatment has to be done at the hosiptal after which I can go to the center near my house.
I took a tour of it last month amnd its brandnew, clean and nice paople working there. But I saw a few getting their treatment and I was like I am not like one of them!! Hanging off thee chairs looking half dead! Not a good feeling for sure, he said that I should feel better but after seeing the others I am not thinking BETTER is the right word!
So I won't be around as much as my treatments will be M,W,F 4 hours a day plus setting up, so its going to be a huge chunk of my time. We will see about the Better thing??

Joe

Joe, I have been fighting cancer for 7 years. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's not so good.

Just take it one day at a time and remember that God never gives you more than you can handle.

Hang in there Joe. I understand your apprehension completely as I also went through something similar, but with a long regimen of chemo treatments taking its toll. Believe in your doctors and caregivers and stay positive. Best Wishes.

Yup, keep your chin up and it will be spring before you know it! We were visiting with a friend in November who donated a kidney to her mom. Both she and mom (especially mom) are doing great and mom is now dialysis free for the first time in years!

If you ever get worried that you will forget any questions for the people you want to ask, write it down on a list and rattle it off to them. Every bit counts I'm sure you know.

Hang tough, someone very important in my life told me once, "Some of the greatest decisions we make are at the most bleak times in our life". You will have the best of ups and the best of downs by going forward.

Best of luck
