Nebe, probably not.

When you have monopoly distributorship in a small market you can eliminate competition.

Doesn't Fall River consider themselves part of Rhode Island? They all fish here ;) 15 minutes away - I'll buy it there. I Like the Black and Tan.

Finally, a lager that can push that god-awful Sam Adams concoction out of the taps.

My son-in-law works for L. Knife Distributors and he's been telling me it's coming. He thinks they got one of the distribution contracts.

I have friends in NJ and if I go down or they come up there is always some Black and Tan making the trip.

Had one at Home Plate in Taunton on Friday night. They just started serving it. When I got home, I got a text from a friend saying he had it at Town Spa in Stoughton on Friday. On Saturday, my waitress at Charlie Horse said they'd be serving it starting today. Looks like it's made it's way into the restaurants. Now it needs to get into the stores.

I just don't get it...Yuengling is OK....better than Bud and the like....but there are so many better beers out there I just don't get the hype over this.

It's because you couldn't get it. That's all.

Completely agree TDF/Eben. Yuengling isn't the best beer in the world, especially for those of us that enjoy craft brews. But for an easy drinker? I'll take it over the bud/miller/coors/pbr crew, and also Heineken/amstel/sam etc etc.

For me, it just triggers memories- I mean, this was the first beer I ever had. Fond memories of stealing a few from the garage and sneaking out with friends. Keg parties with the stuff in high school. Back when you could take liquids on airplanes I used to bring a case as a carry-on when I flew from Philly to TF Green (great conversation starter).

I went to the Bears Den show in Taunton last weekend. The Holiday Inn had it there on draft. I was particularly pleased that I ordered a "lager" and got my beer without a second glance

I'd take it over everything ypou mentioned except Sam's....Sam's would be my choice head to head.

Exactly. We had some just the other day. First time in quite a while for me and it was just how I remembered it to be. Just a bit above average at best. Tried some of the Black and Tan. The Larger is better. Black and Tan's are meant to be from the draft IMO.
I like Sam Adams Larger better.

agreed. its good for what it is, certainly nothing more. good beer to drink when your looking to get drunk. it will be a novelty for a short time, then just another beer on the market.

That's how I feel about it. It's a nice option to have over some of the other mass produced beers, but it's not something I'd order with a meal if I was only going to have one or two.
