Just came back from a week at Point Judith. Because I had never fished the area, but wanted to have a reasonable shot at fish during the week, I enlisted the help of Joe Lyons.

It was some of the best $$ I ever spent. He showed me several spots around Narragansett, and told me the optimal conditions for fishing each. He brought extra gear in case I needed it, sodas to drink, and did everything he possibly could to make the night enjoyable. Also, despite less-than-perfect conditions, he got me into some action. He was even willing to let me call him later in the week for last-minute advice on where to go. More importantly, however, he gave me a basic working knowledge of the general area. So I feel like I can go back and know that I at least have a shot at some fish.

If anyone ever wants to jump-start their fishing career in South County, I would highly reccommend Joe. It would have taken me at least a whole season to compile what I learned in 4 hours with him. To top it all off, he's a good guy to boot, who told me quite a bit about the history of fishing in the area.

Thanks for a great time Joe! Also, I have 2 buddies who are very interested in getting together on Block Island this fall if you offer that package at The Atlantic. Let me know!!

Glad to hear it!

I purchased "A Rhode Island Shore Guide" book from his site yesterday.

I might have to start dropping ideas now for birthday present for me in the fall!
