View Full Version : Got bored during the storm
N.ShoreFisher 01-04-2014, 10:09 AM So, I was talking to my lathe....what, like you guys don't talk to your tools...lol. Anyway, decided I wanted a more customizable setup for a lathe table, so I figured I'd build one. But the wife told me no buying anything for it, so everything is scrap from around my shop and shed. The top is from an entertainment unit that I dismantled last month. Anyway, that's all I got. :)

Not bad. Nothing better than repurposing stuff to make cooler stuff.
I took an old bathroom vanity from my mothers house and an old countertop from a kitchen I remodeled to make my lathe bench.
N.ShoreFisher 01-04-2014, 06:48 PM just picked up the woodriver 12x16 dust hood and some plexiglass; gonna make me a badass dust hood. :)
Rockfish9 01-07-2014, 12:49 PM i have that exact same lathe... I use it for drilling and making prototypes and bowls and trinkets...

Thanks,,,, that's next winters project,,, rod building this winter,,,
N.ShoreFisher 01-08-2014, 02:55 PM I've been pretty busy down in the shop just kind of rearranging things and building too. When I get home tonight, I'll post pics. Finished a plug spinner, and almost done with a dust hood for the lathe. Mahogany and plexi glass on a wood rail so it can move.
