You want the best way to make a change. VOTE. I am an independent voter and am shocked at the response. Most of the people we have in Govt. in the State of RI are Democrates. This is what most people in RI voted for. For those of you who aren't familiar with politics and goverment, the main difference between Dems and Repubs is the Democrates want large government and to spend your money as they see fit. Republicans want smaller govenment and feel people should have their money to spend how they want. When will people in New England wake up! You want to effect change, then VOTE. Call your local and state officials and tell them you voted for them and will not in the future if the keep doing this to our lives. My God... New Englanders keep voting in loosers like the Kenedys. So you bring it on your self those of you voting democratic (the lying party). But then again it all depends on what your definition of is, is. How many people called to get Slick Willie out of the White House? I did, I called all the representatives and senators. Not enough people did. Americans tend not to do anything untill they directly feel an effect. I used to be a Democrate untill I was repeatedly lied to and made to look foolish. Then I actually took the time to find out what is really going on. Kennedy's are one of the most corupt families in this country's history. I know this is a fishing board, so pick up the phone and start calling your ellected officials. And vote against those who are in office! Let's take our State back one issue, one fish at a time. The worst we can do is do nothing.

This is a classic example of blaming everyone for the decisions the majority voters have made, even when the minority didnt vote democratic..

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT PARTY THEY ARE IN ! A POLITITION IS A POLITITION ! A LIAR BY ANYOTHER NAME IS STILL A LIAR ! the parties blame each other for their own short comings .

Kind of like when Mit Romney claims to have increased the education budget, but in reality, when the budgets come down to the town, its reduced so much, that the town has to choose between reducing police and fire dept or close the only school in town with full-day kindergarten (needed by working families) and all the special needs programs (i.e. kids with disabilities, etc.).

Obviously, they have to close the school.

You mean those type of lies. Look, I raised educational spending!!

Chris, that is the gospel. The more you educate yourself, the more you see the truth. They are all a bunch of nimrods.

The system creates a conflict of interest.

Most of the money comes from some special interest... whether its unions, corps or whatever. It isn't from the majority.

Yet they want to represent the people? No, they represent the money. How else could pollution continue? How are the tobacco companies still around? Don't these things seem like simple issues?

Only the politicians have the ability to make something so simple into something so complicated they ahve to discuss it for months at a time.

It is very simple. If you want to create change, you must vote people out of office. If our politicians aren't sticking up for our rights, we must get rid of them. I don't care what political preference one has. Most people ignore what is going on around them untill it effects their wallet. People must get outragged and DO something not just sit back and watch. Sign pettitions and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE.

These are Facts people. Don't be fooled again as the WHO would say. Here is a list of the local goverment officials who have sworn to bring Socialism (Communism) to America:

Michael Capuano
(MEMBER, MASSACHUSETTS
Rosa DeLauro
(MEMBER, CONNECTICUT
Barney Frank
(MEMBER, MASSACHUSETTS
James P. McGovern
(MEMBER, MASSACHUSETTS
John Olver
(MEMBER, MASSACHUSETTS
John Tierney
(MEMBER, MASSACHUSETTS
Bernie Sanders
(OFFICER, VERMONT)

... an avowedly socialist congressional caucus was operating out of a congressional office staffed by a congressional aide and paid for with your tax dollars.

words from the Internet Web site of the Democratic Socialists of America:

“DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics. ..." Please note the phrase "openly socialist presence in American communities AND politics."

It is to be assumed these ‘progressives’ intend to undermine, abrogate and destroy the Constitution of the United States to which those 53 congressional members have sworn a sacred oath.

Socialism comes in a wide variety of flavors ... all bad. Communism has jokingly been called "socialism in a hurry." Mussolini tried out fascism, a variation on the same theme. The Nationalist Socialist Workers Party was the Nazis’ effort.
