Commando Surfcasting has once again put together a truly unforgettable trip, fishing Block Island with some of the most knowledgeable fishermen.


This year the trip will be one week. You will arrive on June 21st and leave on the 27th.


The cause:
This trip will go to the highest bidder and will be to raise money for the Home Base Program , to help soldiers and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries suffered from their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. The winning donation will be made DIRECTLY to the Run to Home Base Program and will be a 100% tax deductible charitable donation for the highest bidder.

COMMANDO SURFCASTING SPONSORED TRIP

Dates & Location: June 21st-27th fishing the historic Block Island, RI.

Details:One week, fully guided surfcasting trip for one person. (Must be 18 to bid)

Bidding will end May 2nd at 7:30 PM

Just fishing beneath the bluffs on Block Island will have you instantly hooked. Whether you're a hardcore wetsuiter or like staying dry in your waders this trip will be something you remember forever.
Lodging will be in an Island style home that sleeps 8. Amenities are not really important because you will be fishing long nights and sleeping during the day. Rest up and expect to be fully exhausted at the end of this trip. There will be plenty of food and you are not expected to bring anything except your fishing gear, a well rested body and a great attitude.
You will not need a vehicle on the island. If you plan to bring a vehicle reservations must be made ASAP with the Block Island Ferry once bidding closes and you will be responsible for ferry cost.
The trip -
The Commando Pro Staff will pre-fish the island for several nights prior to your arrival. They will have a full report and offer you choices of where to fish depending on your fishing style or what you're comfortable with. You will fish many of the big fish spots that are known and some that have never been heard of. If you want to fish plugs, eels (available on the Island), jigs or tins it's up to you. This is your trip enjoy it.
This will be a great opportunity to ask questions, hear some stories, and learn some history.
Total Guides combined experience of over 100 years of fishing Block Island.

Great Cause & Trip!

I would support the cause with no incentive at all. while I am very familiar with Block and many of the anglers, it is worth it to me just to support the cause. And if last year is any indication, all the "extra's" will be worth $700-$800 anyway. Somebody needs to set the floor at the sheer value of the takeaways.

Ok so here is my BONUS to this GREAT CAUSE. I am a fire fighter in central mass.
We wear red shirts on Fridays and collect $5 per man who is working on that particular Friday. We run 4 groups with 1 on duty at all times, I have collected from 3 of the groups. So all I can say about this trip was that it was AMAZING!!!
Frank the food was great. They island Is unreal, every where you go just screams fish. The group of guys that put this on are some of the best people I have ever meet and consider all of them my friends. We caught fish every night but one and I still had bumps but did not hook up. The info these guys have and what I learned is worth more than all the loot that was included. The freshwater fishing with Dennis was great. Toby and Jay are great, Pat is a wealth of knowledge as well as Dennis. Chuck is great, as is Frank. Steve I hope your feeling better. Pete and Josh great fishing with you. Now for Tom, I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time I had. You are very generous for putting this trip together for a great cause. I feel honored to have shared a rock with you. For all of you who thought about bidding and did not, I would suggest start putting some money away now. This was the trip of a lifetime.
