Piemma, lets make it a point to meet up in the bay this spring. Good time to swim some bunker and BS. I'm with ya!! If you go to the TFCTFN lets start planning it then. Mr. Sandman 03-24-2014, 02:44 AM For the hell of it I looked at the temps (see attached) Ocean temp just offshore is 37 deg. If you make the run to hydro it is 42 degrees. BUT....if you have the range and can run another 120 miles beyond hydro:eek: it is 72 degrees! Nice break too. Looking forward to July. RIROCKHOUND 03-25-2014, 07:24 AM BUT....if you have the range and can run another 120 miles beyond hydro:eek: it is 72 degrees! Nice break . I started "squirreling" away gas money last Fall. I could see the handwriting on the wall. tautog 03-27-2014, 01:23 PM Deep trips=deep pockets thefishingfreak 03-28-2014, 11:15 AM knocked 2 knots off my cruise last year to gain mileage, might have to knock a few more knots off this year. Went from 1.0 mpg to 1.2 mpg Mr. Sandman 03-28-2014, 11:35 AM Hook up a flowscan and find the sweet spot on fuel burn for the long runs. Your probably pretty close as it is. But it adds up for those that use their boat. I keep vasolating on getting a bigger but the cost of running it over what I have is hard to swallow. One week I am full steam ahead and the next I plan to keep what I have. Getting old sucks, I can't make up my mind. tautog 03-28-2014, 01:00 PM Maybe we could get one of the offshore lobster boats to tow us out to the edge...... thefishingfreak 03-28-2014, 08:15 PM New fuel gauge for this yearhttp://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y250/thefishingfreak/20140328_125226_zpsc80c33aa.jpg Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bassballer 04-03-2014, 11:59 AM On the home stretch fellas Clammer 04-03-2014, 01:08 PM 2Pm on 04/03/2014 lower unit great changed ..check oil for 4-stroke changed check new filters changed check dual batteries continuing to change Check water & muffs / rans engine / water pump works, bilge pump works , areator works / all lights on the boats work ; all that left is to throw some rakes in the boat / &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& 2014 splash special thanks to Denis to stop be from fluster cl#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g :buds::buds: JFigliuolo 04-04-2014, 06:41 AM 2Pm on 04/03/2014 lower unit great changed ..check oil for 4-stroke changed check new filters changed check dual batteries continuing to change Check water & muffs / rans engine / water pump works, bilge pump works , areator works / all lights on the boats work ; all that left is to throw some rakes in the boat / &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& 2014 splash special thanks to Denis to stop be from fluster cl#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g :buds::buds: NICE! Raven 04-05-2014, 09:39 AM Got my Yami dealer putting in a new timing belt on Tuesday. Painting the bottom Wednesday and splash on the weekend. I hate it when you enter a bermuda triangle energy vortex and then your timing belt gets all F-d up :hs: piemma 04-05-2014, 10:04 AM I hate it when you enter a bermuda triangle energy vortex and then your timing belt gets all F-d up :hs: No, my timing belt is fine.Yamaha recommend changing the belt at 1000 engine hours. I'm at 900+ so I'm doing it as preventive maintenance. I also change the thermostat, water pump and impeller every year. Don't have to but i run a lot in the middle of the night. Cheap insurance and, so far, I have never had a problem. JFigliuolo 04-07-2014, 01:47 AM I might be right behind you. Just a few minor cosmetic things to finish up and touch up bottom paint and I should be good also. Maybe this weekend. bassballer 04-07-2014, 08:51 AM I was waiting until 1st week of may but im not sure I can wait that long. I itching pretty bad to get in. I did all my service when I had the dealer winterize it. I just need to clean and wax and im god. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
