I'll put in May 1st, April is just a little to early for me. 2 months is nothing. be here before you know it.

Piemma, lets make it a point to meet up in the bay this spring. Good time to swim some bunker and BS.

For the hell of it I looked at the temps (see attached)

Ocean temp just offshore is 37 deg. If you make the run to hydro it is 42 degrees. BUT....if you have the range and can run another 120 miles beyond hydro:eek: it is 72 degrees! Nice break too.

Looking forward to July.

with the cost of diesel rising you might not make the mudhole and back.
might be an interesting season if it keeps going up in price.......

George, I hear ya. I started "squirreling" away gas money last Fall. I could see the handwriting on the wall.

knocked 2 knots off my cruise last year to gain mileage, might have to knock a few more knots off this year.
Went from 1.0 mpg to 1.2 mpg

Hook up a flowscan and find the sweet spot on fuel burn for the long runs. Your probably pretty close as it is. But it adds up for those that use their boat.

I keep vasolating on getting a bigger but the cost of running it over what I have is hard to swallow. One week I am full steam ahead and the next I plan to keep what I have. Getting old sucks, I can't make up my mind.

Maybe we could get one of the offshore lobster boats to tow us out to the edge......

I hate it when you enter a bermuda triangle energy vortex
and then your timing belt gets all F-d up :hs:

No, my timing belt is fine.Yamaha recommend changing the belt at 1000 engine hours. I'm at 900+ so I'm doing it as preventive maintenance.
I also change the thermostat, water pump and impeller every year. Don't have to but i run a lot in the middle of the night. Cheap insurance and, so far, I have never had a problem.

I might be right behind you. Just a few minor cosmetic things to finish up and touch up bottom paint and I should be good also. Maybe this weekend.
