Not sure if I should put this in boating or not. Looking at getting a new one for this season. Any comments, recommendations? Lot of diff. kinds out there now a days and pricey. Are they worth it? I'm using for a 55lb Minn Kota. Going to use it 2x a week (I hope) So it will get some good use. Not sure if that makes a diff.
Any help will be appreciated before I drop $200 or more. Thanks

your right there ARE allot of choices
certain places where you buy them have a guarantee that if they FAIL
they replace it for FREE :point: look for that
the other thing to consider is a solar charger to keep them charged up

12V or 24V system? If 12V I'd get the most amps you can fit in your boat, the two best things I ever did in my boating career were go from 12 to 24V and then to 36V. But in all cases, I'd buy the most amps my budget could afford at the time.
It's the 12v system. Solar charger might be an idea. Any guesstimate on a price range on a system. I will look in to it. Have you or do you use one? I have a 15' Alumnacraft that I would be using it on so not a lot of room. Thanks for the replies.

Can't comment on the solar charging, but when I was freshwater tournament fishing with a 12V, I had to keep two batteries on board to get through a tournament with any kind of wind at all. Marked difference when I upgraded to 24V and my current 36V system goes all day.
