Don't know if you caught 60 min last nite but this gentleman was highlighted. Blind since the age of 5. What a player. His left hand on this tune is so hard to comprehend how he keeps it up. Just doesn't seem possible.

Jazz don't smell funny to me .. I'll have to come back and listen to this a bunch more times .. 1st piece is totally insane .. What time is that .. Is the bass line and the "so called" melody line even the same time ? Love how these guys drift in and out of the melody .. or play around it . My little brain gets lost Boom and they are right back in it .. Playing in shirts ,ties and jackets how can you be that lose .. Wow Paul .. I need this on my ipod .

sure is enjoyable. He has much more out there. Luv the suits.
Wynton Marsalis is well worth checking out too. He did the interview on 60 min. His Lincoln center stuff is great. I own lots of his recordings. Love that New Awlins taste in Jazz he has, where he is from. That is his brother on the skins in the trio with Marcus Roberts. The whole Marsalis family are musicians from Dad, keyboards, down. What talent.
