Hearing media reports of a warning from DHS about not using Internet Explorer. I am one who has used Explorer from the beginning, and have tried others, but keep coming back. What should I do?
MakoMike 04-29-2014, 06:47 AM Switch? :) I've been using firefox for a while now, before that I was using chrome.

So you are the one still using IE.... I think you can download patches, serioulsy though, Chrome or FF are much faster/less resource intensive than IE. I'd switch
The Dad Fisherman 04-29-2014, 07:30 AM you can disable the flash plug-in and still use IE safely as well....
Raven 04-29-2014, 07:32 AM What should I do?
you can select internet explorer to not be your "default"
browser select google chrome or just plain google instead
you have to go to control panel/internet/ browser options
to change that.....
JohnR 04-29-2014, 08:12 AM These days I would use Chrome or FireFox. I only use IE where required.
Raven 04-29-2014, 09:47 AM i do like how efficient BING is....
it Rocks for speed and specificity... on accurate searches
but i'll wait for Micro$uck to issue a "fix"

pbadad 04-29-2014, 08:03 PM Switched to Chrome by my computer member guru. Responsive. Took a little time getting use to format from using IE for ions.
Green Light 05-02-2014, 07:45 PM I was a FireFox user. But, the quality of that browser has been going down slowly.
I use Chrome on Mac, Linux, Windows, iPad, and iPhone. Works every time without fail. LOVE IT. ;-)
striperman36 05-03-2014, 09:07 AM Chrome, and install the Heartbleed patch for IE pronto
