what do we have for ramps in that general area? that one at the west end is a freicken zoo at best on the weekends

At the end of Ocean Ave in Fairhaven is a nice ramp that dumps you into Nasketucket Bay by West Island, see pic. With your boat no tide issues. I have launched the BeeReel there quite a bit. Not too much congestion any time of day.

There seems to be one in Mattapoiset ( http://www.brownellsystems.com/boat-ramps.html ) but Google view doesn't show much parking.
