Got sick yesterday and ended up watching some Striper lectures on Youtube.
One that was interesting to me was a Long Islander doing a lecture on fishing bait from the beach (something I don't do) but he mentioned the past 5 years there has been a bite on Digger crabs. Apparently if you go during the last hour of Outgoing tide on a New Moon at night you will see them with their orange eggs on their backs to spawn. Didn't see that last summer, curious if anyone has seen this? *No spot burn, I've just never heard of this*
Apparently the bass he caught with his friends have been stuffed with them by zooming down the beach with mouths open.
Long Island location or not, this is interesting for me. As far as using a lure, I can only imagine a bucktail coming close to this?
