With a new water pump and thermostat going in today, I will be back in business, but it is nice to finally recoup some of my premiums. The bill I would have had without came to $900 and with the two tows on the road due to bearing issues over the last 25 years I'm getting some money back. Can't imagine not having that insurance, but might look at another company with more service in and around Westport. While I do most of my summer fishing out of Westport, depending of the time of year I could be out of Plymouth, Barnstable, P-Town or Boston; will have to look at the coverage more closely.

After a new water pump and stat I launched Sunday and doesn't the hi-temp alarm sound and light flash as soon as I start up. Nice stream and it goes off are a few minutes, so i go fish off cutty and later it's on again and stays on the balance of the day. Last few stops on the way back to Westport, the idle is rough and stalling now, but wide open back to the river runs sweet. Can't keep it running to get on the trailer, so I drift in finally to winch it on. Trolling motor bracket loosened up, along with a trailer fender, the hits keep coming. Damn hole in the water is getting bigger this summer. Oh well i've done nothing to it since i bought it in 2007, so I can't complain too much.

never a good idea to keep running with an alarm going off. even though it was coming out of the telltale doesn't necessarily mean water is going everywhere else it needs to. some motors the telltale is before the thermos others after. what kind of motor is this?

Exhaust leak pulling hot exhaust by sensors, part with hole needs to be replaced, sounds like he has seen it a couple times before, just a much larger hole for the much larger wad of money to be thrown into. Can't complain I guess as I've not done anything but winterized that Suzuki 140 four stroke since I bought the boat in 2007. I figure with 600 hours on a clean smooth running 2004 it's better to spend the 2K to get it done. With a severe wrist sprain Monday, the boat problems, colonoscopy this morning and missing a golf outing I pre-paid $160 for this weekend; it's just not my week. But as Clammer says I'm very thankful for what I have and I don't sweat the curve balls life throws at you, not like I did in my youth.
