Got to Quonny pond this past Friday arriving around 10 a.m. (midway into a dropping tide) Not much happening until the change of tide around 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. Then on the north end of the middle bar I landed 4 blues in the 4-5lb range. Lost another 3-4. Used a variation of a clouser minnow. This all happened within a 45 minute time frame. Around 3:30 p.m. the incoming tide was really ripping in and the wind started gusting somewhere around 20 mph. All of a sudden the water exploded with tons of fish. Unfortunately with the wind and the tide I couldn't get close to them without drifting to the back part of the pond. In fact I had a difficult time just getting back to the boat ramp area. I know most of the fish were blues, but some in boats said there was a mix of blues and bass. Didn't see any fish caught from the 2 or 3 boats that remained out there. For the most part it was just an awesome day to be out on the pond. Paul
