Rappin Mikey 09-05-2014, 09:25 AM You could always get them to me and I could give em to Stan. I have to bring him mine as well. WESTPORTMAFIA 09-05-2014, 09:51 AM Don't send it to buckos. They will clean it and give it back to you broken Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device albin35 09-05-2014, 01:29 PM Try Monahan Marine in Weymouth MA. I had a daiwa saltist i tried rebuilding, Twice. Got it fully assemled and there was one issue i could not correct. They rebuilt it after i hacked it two times. thefishingfreak 09-05-2014, 03:48 PM If you find out let me know I have 2 electrics that need repair and I'm not sending them to buckos Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Bob Thomas 09-05-2014, 04:30 PM FWIF, I sent 6 EMP5500s to Daiwa over the winter for a general rehab and cleaning. They came back feeling (not looking by any means) brand new! They found some issues and upon my approval, repaired them. It took just a few weeks for all 6 to be returned. I want to say general rehab/cleaning is $25 then charge for parts. thefishingfreak 09-05-2014, 05:41 PM Where exactly is "to daiwa"? When you search online it defers you to buckos Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device DZ 09-05-2014, 06:02 PM Contact Steve Cook at angler.consulting@gmail.com or call him at 401-743-2200. He's located in RI but will also repair/service reels that are shipped to him. redlite 09-05-2014, 06:53 PM Buckos sucks. My buddy swears they re attached a side plate on one of his abus with a drywall screw...:: my washing machine could do a better job of cleanin and fixin a reel than they do. Cost me $100 f'n bucks to service my saltist conventional and it still was f'd up afterwards. Should have just bought a new one for another 80 beans Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device redlite 09-05-2014, 06:55 PM I used to have my reels services thru belsan bait in scituate who had a guy from mass bass assoc that serviced em. He did a friggin pissa job but it a haul to take em there. Now i can say it would be worth it Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device zimmy 09-05-2014, 09:07 PM Where exactly is "to daiwa"? When you search online it defers you to buckos Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device The daiwa us website has the address. They go somewhere in california. They do a nice job and, assuming your saltiga doesn't need a new drive gear and piniion :smash:, the price is usually pretty reasonable. I got a ton of stuff done to a whisker 2600 this winter. Think it cost $30. I was going to throw it out, but decided to throw it in the box with the saltiga. Came back like new. wdmso 09-06-2014, 03:09 PM Don't send it to buckos. Second hit is a PDF for their service form with all the info Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device derekl 09-08-2014, 04:13 PM Try contacting Neil at dark side reelz he does a ton of reel services for the bass tourney guys he might do them Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device bloocrab 09-08-2014, 10:36 PM Don't send it to buckos. They will clean it and give it back to you broken Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device Not sure what happened over there....possibly a combination of Mike caring less about what's going on at the bench, hiring help that's clueless?? Back in the day he got the job done...he's even lost what little personality he ever had. What a shame, almost seems like when his uncle passed on 2nd street, both places tanked. Both Stanley and his wife were awesome...tsk, tsk....is all I can say. RickBomba 09-09-2014, 03:36 AM It's too bad I didn't know about all this stuff. I literally sent the reel to Buckos and then went off line for a week. Thanks for trying to help guys.
