I'm willing to keep track of the "I'm ins" and set up a pole for suggested launch sites, will need recommendations from the "I'm ins".

I'm in depending on which weekend Phil.

How does this work? All launch from the same place at the same time and have to be back at launching point for weigh in at a specific time? Like a bass masters? Then burgers and beers after somewhere?

most of the trailer guys launch in fairhaven around the same time but theres no weigh in after. more of a group outing than an actual competition. and we need to find a spot for beers and food after. lots of laughs

I'm from CT, but would love to come, fish, pay my way for bait etc (I think the boat owner should not buy bait and gas, he has enough expenses, I know,used to own). Read your threads all the time, 4 years in New England now, when a date is set, will try to hitch if available. Have own gear.

Quick question; is that the place folks want to put in? I'm not quite sure where the prime tog spots are in that area. It seemed to me that if folks wanted to fish the Nasketucket bay area, putting in at
West Island might work better, especially with a west wind. But, I don't know the area that well...

FYI,, The ramp fee is 7 or 8 bucks, bring envelope with truck reg # on it with the $, put in drop box

If you need crabs, "Never Home Bait" is near by,,, no parking,,, let a guy out, ride around block, pick him up, go fishen :-)

don't want to go to Mishaum ledge; they may still be there, maybe not. With a 12 knot wind, getting a couple miles might be a little tricky. We can see when we get there.

Yah but its dead west. Tough to get blown out with a west wind. Wish I could join in the :cheers2: aftermath but got the little ones. It looks like it's going to be a great day. Almost had to give my daughter a shot and a benadril so she could fall asleep. She's pumped. She want's to break her record.

Could not make the TogFest, but did venture out for Tog with the yak. Caught my limit, best was 8.6 pounds smallest I kept was just a hair over 5 pounds. Ended up releasing 9 or 10 under 5 pounds. Was the best I have ever done off the yak.

Was a beautiful morning until the wind picked up around 2pm.

We had a great day out there, the weather definitely cooperated. Thanks again Dan , Tyler and I had a blast. I didn't take many pics but here's Tyler's first ever tog , he got the first fish of the day for our crew. I'm sure it was all the excellent info Dan and I told him... I finally found a few dumb ones. What a fun ,aggravating fish these are to catch! We found this boat full of questionable characters too. Thanks everyone.

Nice time, we did well out on reef till it got sporty and Buzz was trying to join that tugboat we went inshore with Niko. Thanks for organizing it Paul.

Short day for the BeeReel, we did boat about 18 short tog and 3 BSB, but came home early. Anchor rope wrapped the prop on our 5th move of the day. Thanks to some good teamwork
from Jeff O & Bill able to get the rope off and boat quickly emptied of a little excess water. Cut the anchor and no spare so back to dock by 11am.

Saw the gathering outside of Pandoram on my way in. Going tunaring Tuesday or Wednesday but hope to get back out after tog some day next week.

Thanks to zacs for letting me on board for togfest. A good time for all, and some decent togging too; best I've done in a long time. Hope everyone enjoyed their day OTW. Nice to finally meet some SB posters too; been on this board more than 10 years, and never met anyone in person. Hope to see you guys again next year.

A suggestion for all: since it often happens when togging that you limit before noon, maybe we could slide it up a week or two into October so we could have a little better striper and bluefishing later on; stopped by Westport harbor afterwards, saw a lot of boats fishing but no catching. Just a thought.

Tried it again today and almost got blown to BI,,, I'm thinking this might be it for the year,,, dunked on 11 April

Couldn't make the tog fest, but got out Friday in the NOAA predicted 10 mph and 1 foot or less (yeah right), with a client I've taken out one of the final days of October for 3 years running. We always finish up on Ribbons and although I needed all the scope I had and the bow took a few waves and the bilge pump got a workout, we had great fishing all morning. Wish we had the weather I saw earlier in the week, but the fishing was well worth the wet boat. I'm done though, emptied the boat and dropped it off at my Suzuki dealer Saturday am, man didn't this season go by fast:(.

Congrats to all that made the trip out and thanks for sharing all the pics. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing about the day.
