iamskippy 09-13-2014, 03:54 PM Nice Stick right there. If i didnt get a Loomis i would have grabbed this.
1dozenraw 09-13-2014, 06:21 PM No trades on this. I am trying to reduce the amount of gear I have. Thanks.
1dozenraw 09-14-2014, 09:00 AM The blank is the original USA AllStar BGSW 1267-2. It is in excellent ++ condition.
NYChaz 09-14-2014, 09:44 AM Whats the "sweet spot" for this rod????
1dozenraw 09-14-2014, 10:16 AM Whats the "sweet spot" for this rod????Do some research on it as I did not use it more than a couple of times... but I'd say 2.5-4 oz. On the "other site" in the Rod Building Forum there is some discussion about the 1266 and 1267 differences. It's a very good large plug, medium weight jigging rod.
spence 09-14-2014, 11:43 AM That's a great deal.

iamskippy 09-17-2014, 11:26 AM This stick has been on my mind especially after reading the post from a respected builder.... as to what he felt the real rating was...

Playin Hooky 09-17-2014, 11:40 AM Kevin, who wrapped it..

Mike at M&D's according to the original owner. I did not have it wrapped. Bought it to try but have two other 10'6" sticks and this never got into rotation by me and saw little use all around.
1dozenraw 09-19-2014, 06:42 AM $170...?
Charleston 09-19-2014, 02:55 PM Will that rod handle 5oz of lead and a clam ball?

I think that is pushing it, but I didn't use it enough to be sure Bill. Do a search on the other site in Rod Building for AllStar 1267 and you'll get a load of input about what it will and won't do.
"You can cast up to 4 OZ well on thet rod. It has a medium action like a Lami , and is one of the few Allstar surfrod blanks that is not fast action." Saltheart

Question; Why would a 1266 be more powerful than a 1267? Maybe AllStar's capacity values run in reverse.
I want that rod but if it won't go to 6oz. like the specs state I can't use it.
1dozenraw 09-21-2014, 11:13 AM Bill... I just sent you a pm.

Thanks, I read Saltheart's opinion on the other site. Very interesting how the action can control the capacity.
1dozenraw 09-22-2014, 04:51 PM Sold. Thanks all.
