Was coming in yesterday from Albie fishing to the dirt ramp I use in the land of millionaires and I came upon a gigantic pod of gigantic pogies. I thought they were bluefish at first because they were so big. The water was only 3 foot deep at the most and they were stacked from surface to bottom. I drove right thru them and snagged one just to see what they were. Must have been thousands of them at the least. You could have reached right into the water and grabbed them. Pretty cool to see.

Last year they were that thick at the hurricane barrier, nothing was on them!

Yeah nothing on them now and traditionally they are in this area every year well into Nov. and go unmolested a lot of the time, but these are as big a pogie as I have ever seen. Usually they are small in size, stature, in this area. If they were on the north side I would be following them around but on the south side they are not being bothered now but mid Oct. maybe that could be a different story if they are still residing there.
